It’s undeniable that it’s really hard to get up early for a run. Summer is good, but in autumn and winter, the temperature drops. Go to see the parks and playgrounds where there was a lot of people before. How many people are still getting up early and doing morning exercises?
In Jiangbin Park where Mr. Wang often runs, when the weather is hot, the trails in the morning are not bustling, but they are also crowded. After National Day, as the temperature gradually drops, you will find that there are fewer people every day. When it is below 10 degrees, it is almost cleared.
However, in any case, throughout the year, I will encounter several “old faces”, almost every time. There are a few of them. When I go, I can always see them finish running, get dressed and ready to go home.
I often wonder: what time did you get up?
Sometimes I feel that I have worked very hard, but this is the daily routine that others take for granted. It’s like we often complain: it’s hard to remember words, it’s hard to lose weight, it’s hard to get up at five o’clock… But someone will memorize a word when you like it in your circle of friends; someone will do a set of planks when you take a selfie. ; There are always people who have run 10 kilometers when you are still wondering whether to get up and go for a run.
In the past few years, more and more people have established health and exercise awareness. It has become the consensus of everyone to move frequently and run. For most office workers, the suitable exercise time is nothing more than morning or evening. If someone insists on running all year round, but not in these two periods, then it is either retirement or financial freedom.
Why do so many people prefer to sleep less than run in the morning?
Most of the runners around Mr. Wang finished the run in the morning. Many people said that if they were delayed until the evening, they would not bother to come out after entering the house, or they would be caught up in other trivial matters.
The time cost of exercise at night is actually very high: after eating, resting for an hour, going out for a run, and when you get home, it’s almost time to go to bed after taking a shower. In other words, you may not have the entire time to complete other things.
And most of the free time of modern people is actually in the evening, your various hobbies, life trivial matters, parent-child time. Most need to be arranged in the evening. Evening is basically the core time of modern people, so there are often more appointments, arrangements, and chores in the evening.
Obviously, the time in the morning is not so important. If you can get up early and complete the exercise indicators, it will be like picking up these 1-2 hours in vain. Isn’t it beautiful? I think few people will go on a date early in the morning, right?
Fred Lebow, the founder of the New York Marathon, once said: “If you insist on running in the morning, you will gain time, just like extending 24 hours to 25 hours. If you are used to this, morning running seems to extend every day.”
I don’t know if you have this feeling: when others are still sleeping, running ten kilometers by yourself, it feels like you have made a lot of money.
There is a “10,000-hour theory”: No matter what you do, as long as you persist for 10,000 hours, you can basically become an expert in the field.
We don’t have to be experts, but if we allocate 10,000 hours to half an hour or an hour to get up early, we will eventually earn a healthier body and a stronger body.
